Samsung Galaxy S ll

Samsung Galaxy S II is probably one of the most anticipated Android smartphones of the year. With beastly specs and the killer new Super AMOLED Plus display, Galaxy S II seems more than a worthy successor to the first Galaxy S Android smartphone. The device got some rumored release dates here and there and we had the chance to enjoy some leaked documents from certain carriers or retailers, but this time around Samsung gave the word.

The Korea manufacturer stated that the “most powerful smartphone yet” made by them, will be reaching the UK on the 1st of May. For all of you who want to get your greedy little hands on one of these monsters, it seems that we’ll have to wait only a few short weeks and this time around we know it from Samsung. So unlike the large majority of news flying around the web, this one isn’t stamped as a rumor but as a solid fact.
Samsung’s Galaxy S II will be coming in with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, which does look a whole lot better than the first Super AMOLED series ( not as if that one looked bad at all ). The device will weight only 116 grams and will be rocking a 1.2 GHz dual-core application processor ( by this confirming the fact that the Galaxy S II will indeed be shipping with a 1.2 GHz dual core and not 1 GHz dual-core as initially expected ).

The company went on saying that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be available across all the major retailers and networks, so you won’t have to worry about signing a contract with anyone new just to get your hands on it. However, there is no official pricing going for it, but I think we can expect the device to be roughly in the 750-800 US dollar mark area, maybe even a touch pricier, depending obviously on retailer and so forth.
